Picnic

Like every year, we organized a picnic on January 13, 2024, at Murshidabad. It was a delightful escape from the routine hustle and bustle of daily life. The day was filled with fun activities, laughter, and a variety of delicious food. This picnic served as a wonderful platform to strengthen the bond among our members and volunteers, fostering camaraderie and unity within our organization. It was truly a memorable day for everyone involved.

Inauguration Ceremony

On March 9th, we organized an Inauguration Program at Berhampur, Bhakuri. The event began with the felicitation of renowned personalities from our state. During the program, we hosted health camps, raised awareness about thalassemia, and distributed saplings to promote environmental conservation. This initiative aimed to serve the community by addressing health issues and encouraging environmental sustainability, making it a day of meaningful impact for all attendees.

Eid

On April 5th, 2024, we celebrated Eid with our organization members. The day was filled with joy and giving, as we performed Zakat and organized a cloth distribution program for those in need. This initiative aimed to spread happiness and ensure that underprivileged individuals could enjoy the festivities with dignity, embodying the true spirit of Eid.

Opening of Medinipur Sangathan

On April 20th, we celebrated the opening of Medinipur Sangathan with a series of impactful events. We organized health camps, distributed study materials to students, and felicitated talented local students for their achievements. We also held an awareness program on thalassemia, educating the community about the importance of early detection and prevention. The day was dedicated to empowering the local community through education, health, and awareness.

Foundation Day

On October 12th, 2023, we observed Foundation Day, marking the beginning of our organization’s journey. To celebrate, we distributed sarees to underprivileged women and clothes to children. We also organized a food distribution program to support those in need. Additionally, scholarships were provided to deserving students, helping them continue their education. The day was a reminder of our commitment to empowering communities and creating positive change.

Children’s Day

On November 14th 2023, we celebrated Children’s Day by organizing a food distribution program and gifting children with presents. The day was dedicated to bringing joy to young lives, ensuring they feel loved and valued. Through these efforts, we aimed to brighten their spirits and promote their well-being.

Christmas

In 2023, on December 25th, Christmas, we organized a special event for platform dwellers. We provided them with blankets to protect against the cold and served a warm dinner. This initiative was aimed at spreading kindness and ensuring that those in need experienced some comfort and warmth during the festive season.

Rajya Sammelan

On December 28th, 2023, we at the office of Sonar Bangla Foundation organized the Rajya Sammelan, a significant event to honor and celebrate renowned personalities. During the gathering, we felicitated individuals for their remarkable contributions to society. The event served as a platform to acknowledge their efforts and inspire others to continue making a positive impact.

Blanket Donation Event

On January 7th, 2024, we organized a blanket distribution program for underprivileged individuals. The event became a beacon of hope for many, providing much-needed warmth during the harsh winter nights. It was a gesture of compassion, ensuring that those in need could survive the cold season with dignity and comfort.

A Day at Surjopur Ramakrishna Mission

We visited the Surjopur Ramakrishna Mission on June 30th, 2024 and spent a meaningful day with 150 resident special children. We shared a delicious meal with them, bringing joy and warmth. Additionally, we organized a felicitation program to honor eminent individuals and presented them with mementos as a token of appreciation for their contributions.

Tree Planting Event

On August 23rd, 2024, we conducted a tree plantation drive to promote environmental conservation. Along with planting trees, we distributed saplings to community members, encouraging them to take part in preserving nature.

Free Eye Camp

On September 14th, 2024, in collaboration with the Hooghly District Committee, we organized an eye camp at Dhonekhali. The camp provided free eye check-ups, spectacles, and medicines to those in need.
